Coming in 2008 - The Tigers Freefall Parachute Display Team

The Tigers have been in existence for 20 years and are one of the top Army parachute display teams in the country.  The Parachute Team is the flagship for the Princess of Wales Royal Regiment and is based in Kent.

The Tigers freefall team is made up of volunteers from across the battalions of the Regiment and they undergo extensive training prior to the commencement of the display season.  The team undertakes four weeks pre season training in the USA where they carry out a minimum of 100 jumps per man before carrying out 50-60 displays during the summer months.  The experienced parachutists exit from a Britten Norman Islander BN-2 and will be dropping into the sea at the 999 Weekend in 2008 smoke trailing and flags flying.  They will perform several amazing formations both in the air and under the parachute as they descend so keep watching them throughout the entire display routine.

Following their sea landing The Tigers, supported by the Regular and Voluntary Lifeguards and the RNLI will make a beach landing, take the salute and meet visitors to the event.

The team will be performing at Aldershot Army Show prior to joining the 999 Weekend on both the 5th and 6th July and jump times will be confirmed subject to tide.
